Confessions of a shopaholic

Thats my current book: Confessions of a shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

Meet Becky Bloomwood, an irresistible heroine with big heart, big dreams, big boobs - and just one little weakness...

Meet Sarah Yew, an irresistible missy with big heart, big dreams, with body too bootylicious for ya baby! - and without a single weakness...

My book
30th dec 2005 @ MPH Gurney Plaza

Becky has what most twenty-five-year-olds only dream of: a flat in London's trendiest neighbourhood, a troupe of glamorous socialite friends and a closet brimming with the season's must-haves.

The only trouble is, she can't actually afford it - not any of it.

She's a financial journalist and the job not only bores her to tears, it doesn't pay much at all.

Still, how can she resist that perfect pair of shoes? Or the divine silk blouse in the window of french connection?

Due to her style of splurging, she's been chased by dismal letters from Visa which she tried to avoid by saying her aunt is dying or her dog is dead!

No point telling my mum how much things really cost because she'd have a coronary. Or in fact, she'd tell my dad first and then they'd both have coronaries and I'd be an orphan.

Becky's VISA bill:

WHSmith [well, that's OK. Everyone needs stationery]
Boots
[everyone needs shampoo] [Mine got stolen. Damn.]
Oddbins
[bottle of wine - essential]
Bella Pasta
[supper with Caitlin]
Esso
[petrol doesn't count]
Oddbins
[bottle of wine - essential]
Rugs to Riches
[what?! oh yes. Stupid rug]
La Senza
[sexy underwear for date with James][My James?!]
Agent Provocateur [even sexier underwear for date with James. Like I needed it][I don't]

.....

She tries cutting back.
She even tries making more money.

But none of her efforts succeeds.

Girls will be girls!

hehe...
