Top of the M

Woo hoo.
We were at Top of the M.
The one and only revolving restaurant in Singapore.
We just happened to know that it is a freakin' atas french restaurant after we sway our butties in there.

Foie Gras as appetizer.
That was so yummy that I don't give a rat's ass about it being a DUCK LIVER!
Usually I don't eat innards.
Holy viscera.
That day onwards, foie gras has become by favorite appetizer.

By the way, Tiny Loon offered to go down to the market and buy a duck liver for RM 1 and cook his style of foie gras for me to try.
I thought duck liver was given away free?

Madagascar steak for him.
Make that medium.
Rare is so bloody.

Dory fish for her.
I always ended up ordering dory fish somehow.
I love Dory.

Voila .
My favorite panna cotta as dessert.
Love it.

He's obviously stealing my dory.
Greedy pig!
But never mind, he's footing the bill afterall.
=P
We don't go dutch here.
Nobody goes dutch.
That's what guys are for.
=)

The interior of Top of the M.
I know its too dark.

Cheers!
Happy Darling's Day.

The view from the top.
That's Orchard Road.

Finally, the bill.
SGD 204.55.

This is not the life of the rich.
It's just food tasting.
Just trying a french menu.

Hahaha. Yeah, dory is cheap fish. One large piece almost 30cm in length cost between RM8 to RM10. Covert to SGD, only what... SGD4? Can buy from almost any decent supermarket, just scout around the frozen foods section.

But my dad doesn't like me to eat too much dory because a fish importer told him that dory meant for Asian market is usually from Vietnam, and the fish meat is usually bleached. That's why raw dory meat is very white.

Ewww...That's so polluted.
But I like it. Sigh.
Thats my second preference for fish besides cod fish.

Oooh.. steamed cod fish is absolutely delicious!

i love salmon, but only when it's raw. IMHO, cooking only spoils the salmon's texture. Unless the fish is steamed with minimal condiments: kikkoman sauce, spring onions and ginger.
