The World's Fastest Walker

Everytime I go back to Penang, I walked the normal pace, only to realize that my mom was following me from behind.
So I thought most likely is the influence of the lifestyle in Singapore.

When I first came here, I was always lagged behind, in terms of walking speed.
Everyone just zoomed past me. Especially around the MRT area.
And some people observed that the walkers here, from fastest to slowest are like this:
Singaporeans, Malaysians, Indonesians, Vietnamese and some further ulu place peeps trailing behind.

Now only am I proven to be right.

And it is official - Singaporeans are the world's fastest walkers!

New York is at number 8 and surprisingly, London ranked outside the top 10.
The slowest in the study was a city in Malawi.

The British Council said that people's walking speed is a reliable measure of the pace of life in a city.

I can smell stress and psychosomatic illness.
